Designed to meet the latest military and industrial specifications, as well as stringent safety requirements, Amphenol’s new Rhino 38999 connectors are said to combine the benefits of MIL-DTL-38999 series III circular connectors with hyperbolic contacts that extend the boundaries of high power connectors.
Products in the series address demand in the military, aerospace and industrial markets for increased power and voltage in applications such as military and electric drive vehicles, aircraft and intelligence base stations. They are also ideal for high reliability applications, including automation, mining, offshore and other harsh environments.
The series boasts IP2X finger protection on both plugs and receptacles. Flange mount, jam nut or inline connection is offered with high reliability, low contact resistance Radsok contacts, featuring durability up to 500 mating cycles.
Connectors are available in a variety of shell materials and can be provided in standard 38999 series III shells or the new bulldog breakaway style. Current ratings span 100 to 750A and operational voltage ratings of 630V. Temperature rating is between -45 and 125°C, with IP68 sealing and various surface finishes.
