Rebound Electronics has achieved silver accreditation in the SC21 excellence award scheme for the national aerospace and defence supply chain. Rebound claims to be the only UK distributor to have achieved this award, which focuses on quality performance, on-time delivery and a commitment to continuous improvement.
In order to achieve this recognition, Rebound had to provide verified customer performance data. By working on the SC21 programme, Rebound has improved its operations through initial assessments, a continuous sustainable improvement plan (CSIP) and an NVQ training programme for lean and business improvement techniques.
Benefits gained by achieving the award include: reduced overheads, increased competitiveness, cost reductions and company-wide operational improvements.
Rebound’s quality and materials manager, Sheila Lord, said: “It’s fantastic that we have achieved silver SC21 accreditation, especially being the first UK electronics component distributor to attain this level.”
