Link Microtek has been appointed as exclusive representative in the UK and Ireland for a range of satellite communication (satcom) products manufactured by US company, Miteq and its subsidiary, MLC.
Serving both the military and commercial markets, Miteq’s satcom equipment includes frequency converters, redundancy switchover units, equalisers, test translators and uplink power control systems, while MCL specialises in high-power travelling wave tube amplifiers (TWTA).
Link Microtek’s sales director, Stuart Hendry, said: “As well as adding to our portfolio for satellite and ground-based communications, this agreement strengthens our ability to offer customised end-to-end solutions to our commercial and military customers.”
Director of satcom international sales for Miteq, Charif Nasrallah, added: “Link Microtek manufactures its own line of rotary joints and waveguide products for the satcom market, so it already has a potential customer base for our satcom products.”
