Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas and Molex mark 30th anniversary with $1.5 billion in product sales

For three decades, Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas, a business region of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), and electronic connector manufacturer Molex Incorporated have leveraged their collective strengths to build a relationship like none other — all while earning approximately $1.5 billion in sales of Molex products generated by Avnet. In 2012, Avnet and Molex celebrate this milestone and reflect on the accomplishments of the past 30 years.

Since 1982, Avnet has been helping Molex provide electronic, electrical and fiber optic interconnection products and systems to the interconnect industry in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Together, Avnet and Molex help ensure coordination of resources to meet customers’ needs globally. During this time, they have seen Molex offerings expand to more than 100,000 products that meet the needs of customers in a broad range of industries — including industrial automation, telecommunications, medical, military/aerospace, consumer electronics and alternative energy.
