Human machine interface (HMI) specialist, IGT Industries, has appointed its first ever distributor in the form of an agreement with Acal BFi. The agreement will provide access to IGT’s custom made MMI/HMI control panels in the UK and across Europe, supported by Acal BFi’s technical expertise and valued added services.
IGT Industries products include numerous backlighting techniques, integral RFI screening and most recently, the development of capacitive switching systems, both touch screen based and single press control panels with optional back-lighting.
IGT Industries’ sales and marketing manager, Terry Moss, explained: “IGT has been established for twenty five years and this appointment is an important step in our growth strategy for the UK and Europe. Acal BFi’s expertise and knowledge will increase our product offering to a wider market and territory.”
Acal BFI UK HMI product manager, David Draper, said: “IGT Industries’ portfolio enables Acal BFI to offer a significant range of HMI solutions, including custom capacitive touch panels complete with LED backlighting in a competitive package. Panels can be sealed against water ingress, vandal resistant and operated by gloved hands, making them ideal for demanding applications.”
