Avnet Embedded, a business group of Avnet Electronics Marketing EMEA, a business region of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), announced the extension of its portfolio with embedded electronics from SECO, a manufacturer of computer-on-modules (COM), single-board computers, carrier boards and peripheral boards. This new distribution agreement covers the entire EMEA region.
SECO products are suitable for applications in markets including medical, digital signage, industrial automation and transportation where processing power and robustness must be achieved within space-constrained environments.
As a founding member of the Qseven® consortium, SECO provides a variety of CPU modules based on this standard, supporting the most popular operating systems. Qseven® carrier boards, designed to include the I/Os and peripherals required for a given application, can accommodate x86 or ARM modules, thus providing industrial customers with a cross-platform solution which ensures scalability and product longevity.
