AMSRB-78-Z-series of Aimtec: low-priced and effective
The new switching regulator family AMSRB-78-Z of Aimtec is characterized by a farther entrance and an efficiency of up to 94% and is available for purchase from over MSC now.
The converter is a pin compatible alternative to the traditional 3-pin TO-220 package in LDOs (SIP3, 11.68 x 9.65 x 7.5mm), offering an attractive and economical Alternative to standard linear regulators.
The Aimtec AMSRB-78-Z series delivers up to 7.5W output power with 500mA output current at efficiencies of up to 94% and a wide input voltage range from 4.5VDC to 28VDC. Moreover the switching regulator on a permanent short-circuit protection and a wide operating temperature range of -40 ° C to +85 ° C (rating from 70 ° C / 65 ° C at 12V/15V output)
Equally impressive is the high life (MTBF> 4,000,000 hrs) and regulated output voltages of 3.3, 5, 12 or 15VDC.
The elimination of a heat sink and the low power consumption at light load and standby operation make the new AMSRB-78-Z-series of Aimtec particularly low priced and efficiently.
