UK contract electronics manufacturer, Axiom Manufacturing Services, continues to expand its customer base and product portfolio in the high reliability defence and aerospace market with continued investment in process capability.
The latest addition to its technology roadmap, the Asymtek jet dispensing platform, is said to ensure process repeatability and control. Precision jet dispensing of epoxy based adhesives ensures that critical components are effectively ruggedised against shock and vibration. It may also provide a potential alternative to potting, which can be linked to shrinkage issues. This investment is coupled with the company’s recent acquisition of an automated selective soldering system, which helps ensure precision soldering of challenging features.
