ECS 2022: dates and venue announced

MMG Publishing encourages readers to spend a day at the inaugural Electronic Component Show where they can meet upwards of 100 electronics suppliers

Following the postponement of the inaugural Electronic Component Show in 2020, MMG Publishing is pleased to announce that ECS 2022 will take place on Thursday 19 May 2022 at the Kassam Stadium, home of Oxford United football club.

MMG’s publisher and founder, Mark Leary, said ”Interest for a one-day tabletop exhibition and educational seminar presentations is very positive from visitors and exhibitors alike. We have been searching for the ideal venue and location for the show and the Kassam stadium ticks all of the boxes for everyone. The exhibition area is well spaced with a one metre distance between stands. A one-way system will operate and more internal space provides a safe environment for exhibitors and visitors.  The seminar programme will comprise educational presentations for design engineers and purchasing professionals.”

Over 55 per cent of tabletop stands have already been booked by suppliers who originally planned to attend the 2020 event. The opening time between 10am and 3pm provides ample time for visitors to travel to the venue and meet upwards of 100 suppliers of electronic components and services, providing a beneficial and time effective day. The event is free to attend for electrical/electronics professionals. The venue offers 2,000 car parking spaces and complimentary tea and coffee will be available.

With MMG’s experience of organising one-day tabletop shows and seminar programs in the UK and North America, a substantial marketing and awareness programme will support visitor attendance. Regarding the venue, the Kassam Stadium is located on the Oxford Business Park which is also home to technology businesses include Eaton, Oxford Biomedica, Oxford Biodynamics, Oxbotica, TI Automotive,  Ultronics, while the BMW Mini plant is a few minutes away.

Visitors are encouraged to register as soon as possible as numbers will be restricted to maintain a safe environment.

For suppliers interested in exhibiting, prices start at £1,500 for a 5’ by 2’ table top, including electricity. Gold and Platinum packages include a 6′ by 2’ tabletop and more exposure. All packages include three adverts in Electronics Sourcing or on eBOM.com. In effect, book three adverts and receive the exhibition tabletop for free.

Exhibitors staying in local hotels on the day prior to the show will be invited to the ECS Ten Pin Bowling competition located opposite the Stadium.
