Lane Electronics has again satisfied the requirements to become fully registered on the Joscar (Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register) accreditation register. Joscar is a collaborative tool used by the aerospace, defence and security industries to function as a single repository for pre-qualification and compliance information. It lets an OEM quicky and simply determine if a supplier is ‘fit for business’ and a qualified electronics solutions partner.
Accreditation is supported by defence OEMs including BAE Systems, Leonardo, Ministry of Defence, QinetiQ, General Dynamics and Raytheon and is comprised of a central register holding common supplier information which can be quickly accessed by participating buying organisations. It aims to reduce the time, cost and resources required from suppliers to provide information to major prime customers, while avoiding duplication of information.
Joscar aims to ensure information that suppliers/third parties are asked to provide is proportionate to the types of goods or services being supplied.
