Enclosure purchasers can talk to Hammond on its ECS stand to learn more about its in-house product modification capabilities, with many examples of its work on show.
Standard enclosure products are great: low cost, readily available and field-proven in many applications. However, they are typically configured to suit projects’ requirements. In-house modifications by the original manufacturerare the quickest, lowest cost solutions, with Hammond modifying products on very low minimum order size requirements.
Hammond’s in-house modification capabilities include: precision CNC milling of holes, cut-outs, pockets, tapping and countersinking; UV digital and silk screen printing; engraving of logos and text in plastic/metal; and pressed-in hardware including nuts, studs and standoffs.
Subject to a minimum order quantity, all ABS, flame retardant ABS and polycarbonate enclosures can be moulded in any custom colour, while plastic and metal enclosures can be powder coated (smooth or textured) to match a corporate colour.
New products on show include the flame-retardant ABS 1556 family (inspired by the IP68 1557 range) which brings additional sizes and the same versatility and features at a lower price point for general use. New square profile versions of the popular 1455 extruded enclosures will also be on show.
The stand will feature examples of Hammond’s range of stainless-steel industrial enclosures. The IP69/69K sealed HYW suits food and pharmaceutical production facilities. The heavy duty HWHK range is ideal for environments where mechanical damage is possible.
