Nicab explains how its subcontract cable assembly services helped lighting console specialist, Chamsys, manage an influx of large orders on tight deadlines.
Chamsys’ lighting consoles can be found around the world and are favoured by many leading stage lighting professionals. As the company’s products became more popular, larger ‘out of the blue’ orders followed with tight delivery times.
Subcontracting labour- intensive cable assembly to Nicab: freed up existing staff; provided Chamsys with the confidence to take on larger orders
with shorter lead-times; and controlled its costs. An added benefit was avoiding tooling costs, making re-designs easier and less expensive. Nicab’s range of tools means prototyping can be done with no investment in tools which may never be used after prototyping.
