Inelco Hunter has announced a range of monochrome LCDs for applications not requiring a colour display. Advantages of a monochrome display include lower cost, power consumption and processing requirements. The transflective LCD screens combine low power with high brightness, suiting them to sunlight-readable portable products.
Character LCD modules are available for 8 by 2, 16 by 1, 16 by 2, 16 by 4, 20 by 4 and 40 by 2 format, in a standard or custom design solution.
Graphic LCMs with controller ICs are available with the following resolutions: 120 by 32, 122 by 32, 128 by 64, 240 by 64, 240 by 128 and 320 by 240.
Chip on glass (COG) graphic displays are available with one-chip solutions and resolutions from 128 by 64, 128 by 128, 240 by 64, 240 by 128, 240 by 160 and 320 by 240.
Mono screens suit applications requiring a simple status display, including factory automation, industrial machinery, medical devices and commercial applications such as EV chargers, vending machines, IoT equipment and home appliances.
