Automotive photovoltaic MOSFET driver in stock

Rutronik’s product portfolio includes Vishay’s VOMDA1271 automotive-certified MOSFET driver with integrated fast turn-off. The device draws the current required to drive its internal circuits from the infrared emitter on the low-voltage primary side of the isolation barrier. No external power supply is required to provide VCC, making the optically isolated MOSFET driver more cost-effective. It is AEC-Q102 certified and comes in an SOP-4 package.

The integrated fast turn-off only requires 0.7 ms (typ) to switch off and offers a switch-on time of 0.05 ms. The components have a photovoltaic gate array eliminating the need for an additional power supply to ensure the required insulation test voltage of 3.750 VRMS. The resulting simplified design reduces costs and space requirements.

Operating temperature range is -40 to 125°C, ideal for automotive charging technology. The components are also microcontroller compatible.

Application examples include: vehicle pre- charging relays; power wall chargers; gate drivers for high-voltage MOSFETs; BMS; and customized solid-state relays.
