Mouser is stocking TDK InvenSense’s IIM-42653 SmartIndustrial MotionTracking device. The six-axis MEMS device provides precise, reliable motion-tracking capabilities in industrial applications. It is optimised for performance and power efficiency in challenging environments including navigation, orientation measurements, platform stabilisation and robotics.
The device integrates a three-axis gyroscope and three-axis accelerometer into a 2.5 by 3 by 0.91 mm package. Specifications include a -40 to 105°C operating temperature range and 20,000g shock tolerance.
The device supports an extended full- scale range of up to 32g and 4000dps. It features a 2kB FIFO that reduces energy consumption by allowing the system processor to read sensor data and then switch to low-power mode.
The sensor supports an external clock input that is beneficial for robotics, tilt sensing and other applications that require precise navigation and orientation measurements.
For communication, the host interface can support i3CSM, I2C and SPI modes, with respective maximum speeds
of 12.5MHz, 1MHz and 24MHz.
