Simplify LiDAR Design With PLD Arrays

The 905nm Arrays Offer Multi-Junction Power, Reaching Over 115 Watts Per Element.

The 905 array series of multi-junction Pulsed Laser Diodes (PLDs) are available with 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32 elements to achieve various power levels. The multi-junction solution can reach a peak power of up to 115W per element. The small design footprint enables better heat dissipation, resistance to physical wear, while still remaining energy efficient.

The compact design of the 905 array series allows for each 115W PLD element to utilise three epitaxially integrated emitters, that each form 235 x 10µm active areas. An 80W PLD element option is available with 160 x 10µm active areas, while the 40W model is also available and features an active area of 85 x 10µm across each element.

The 905 array series from LASER COMPONENTS can be used to simplify the design of compact LiDAR safety applications such as, automotive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Laser Range Finding (LRF), and laser safety curtains. For Defense & Aerospace, near infrared (NIR) illuminators can help with detection in low-light conditions to avoid obstacles using Flash LiDAR. This same solution can be implemented in more industrial environments to keep employees safe on a factory floor to prevent collision from automated robots.
