Mouser Electronics is now stocking Carlo Gavazzi’s DCM1 DC energy meters with Ethernet. The DCM1 Series is designed to meet the growing demand for DC metering requirements in fast, ultra-fast and hyper-fast chargers for EVs. The meters—which allow for accurate monitoring and billing in EV charging stations and battery energy storage systems—can also provide power analysis capabilities for DC systems in microgrids and other energy-efficient applications.
The meters are direct-connection devices for DC systems up to 1000 V and 600 A. The DCM1 energy meters display information about the specific charging session while receiving and processing start/stop session commands. Features include a transducer for voltage and current connection, plus a display unit with RS485 Modbus RTU and Ethernet Modbus TCP communication ports.
A cable linked to the transducer connects the two components for quick and easy installation. The meters are installed on the DC side, compatible with most DC chargers and support horizontal/vertical mounting.
