Visitors to this year’s Electronic Component Show (ECS), taking place at Oxford’s Kassam Stadium on Thursday 18 September 2025, will have the opportunity to attend a series of free expert-led seminars designed to tackle pressing issues facing today’s electronics professionals.
Starting at 12 noon, the Obsolescence Round Table brings together leading voices from across the supply chain. Hosted by myself, the panel includes John Dyson (Winslow Adaptics), Karen Salmon (Force Technologies), Paul Green (Rochester Electronics) and Daniel Grundy (Jaguar Land Rover). Expect deep insight into lifecycle planning, sourcing risk and strategies for managing product longevity in the face of ongoing global disruption.
At 1:00 pm, Daniel Schoenfelder (Octopart) presents Digital Transformation: The Evolution of Electronic Component Research, exploring how data platforms are reshaping the way engineers and buyers research and source parts.
Then at 2:00 pm, a second round table, again hosted by myself, examines How is the Distribution Sector Doing? with contributions from Richard Langham of LCL Electronics. It’s an unfiltered look at all corners of the channel including pricing, availability and partnerships.
There’s no need to pre-book—just arrive, take a seat and gain insight that could positively influence your design or procurement decisions. With the show itself offering free entry, refreshments, parking and a £5 food voucher, visitors can boost their day by including the seminar programme in their itinerary.
