MSC Gleichmann has announced its partnership with Adesto Technologies to supply its Serial Flash product line as well as offer future releases of Adesto products. In October 2012, Adesto acquired Atmel’s Serial Flash line, which includes its AT45xxx “DataFlash®” and AT25Dxxx/AT25Fxxx “BIOS Flash” memory families, a key step towards the company’s goal to become a full-line supplier of premium, non-volatile memory solutions.
Adesto Technologies was founded in 2007 and pioneered the development of Conductive Bridging RAM, a form of resistive RAM technology with a roadmap to provide low-power, high performance, low-cost memory that can scale with CMOS process geometries.
Commenting on the acquisition of the Serial Flash products, Adesto’s Marketing Director, Paul Hill said, “Our Serial Flash business acquisition will enable Adesto to bring the next generation of non-volatile memory products to market much more efficiently, and give our customers even greater choice of options and value.” He added, “We also value our new partnership with MSC Gleichmann, which brings with it the specialist experience and industry presence of a well-established distributor.”
