Fringe Electronics launches brand new product

SMD machine smallUK Based electronics manufacturer, Fringe Electronics, have just launched a brand new product, aimed at the professional TV/Satellite rigging industry.

The Fringe PRO+ TV&Satellite meter, has been developed off the back of Fringe’s highly successful range of Leisure products, such as their ‘Easy Tune’ signal finder/booster units and the well-established UHF, VHF and PRO range of signal Finders.

The Fringe PRO+ allows the user to align TV aerials as well as Satellite dishes, with ease and at an unheard of cost for a unit of such functionality.

Diane Swanborough, Fringe’s Operations manager, fills us in further:

“We were approached by a long standing customer, for a unit which slotted in above our existing, top-of-the-range PRO TV& Satellite meter.

It was clear that there was a ready market for a unit aimed squarely at professional installers and riggers”

Carl Spencer, Fringe’s Production engineer picks up the story:

“Our existing range of signal finders have been a great success story for us.

We have restyled the unit to meet the expectations of professional users, and crucially added additional functionality.

The PRO+ meter now incorporates the provision to power a satellite LNB directly from the signal finder itself. No external power source or receiver is required to align a satellite dish. The PRO+ is all that is needed to accurately align a dish or aerial.”

“Upon showing mock ups of the new PRO+”, offers Diane, “we were immediately offered a trial order of 100 units. The pre-sales response to this product has been outstanding, and we’re predicting great interest in this product”.

As a company, Fringe electronics was founded in 1978. A majority shareholding is still owned by one of the original founding members, who still takes a day-to-day role in the running of the business.

Operating from purpose built facilities in Nottinghamshire-England.

Fringe also operates a contract manufacturing division, Fringe CMS.

Fringe CMS is ideally positioned for low to medium volume electronics assembly, utilising either SMT or Thru-Hole technology, both to RoHS compliant standards.

Fringe’s extensive history of working in the field of RF technology, coupled with dedicated test facilities, makes them an ideal choice for anyone looking to manufacture or prototype RF-centric designs.
