The KM6-HD subrack from Verotec accepts three, six and 9U Eurocards up to 400mm deep in both IEC60297 and IEEE1101.10/11 configurations. This ensures it conforms with major backplane architecture specifications, such as VMEbus, VXI, VME64x, VPX, VXS, cPCI and PXI. Rear extrusion adaptors are available for the direct mounting of DIN41612 connectors for non-backplane applications. 80mm guides for rear transition cards as well as 160 and 220mm card guides are available.
Developed to provide a strong and rigid card cage, with high resistance to shock and vibration, the KM6-HD is designed to meet US MIL STD 167. Its main features include positive guide locking with optional screw-down retention, heavy-duty two-screw fixings for the tiebar extrusions to give precision location and resistance to bowing or twisting and 3mm thick side plates and rack mounting angles for rigidity.
An iridite NCP conductive finish throughout and slide-in double swipe RFI continuity gaskets fitted to the 19in rack mounting angles and rear closing angles provide electrical continuity. Front and rear closing panels provide a fully screened EMC environment.
The system is compatible with KM6-II accessories including front panels, plug-in units and peripheral mounting assemblies.
