Network for new ideas on industry evolution

For a one and a half day meeting, the ECIA’s executive conference promises to pack in a lot of information. This year’s event, entitled Shift Happens, will take place from 27 to 29 October, at the InterContinental Chicago O’Hare Hotel, with the aim of bringing the industry together under one roof to discuss critical business issues, new opportunities, trends and challenges.

Delegates have the chance to network with industry peers and explore fresh ideas to enhance business. The round table seating for each session is designed to offer ample face time with colleagues, with further hosted receptions and meals providing opportunities to connect with old friends and make new acquaintances. This is described as an opportunity to learn compelling lessons from industry and business experts.

Harness media power

Industry veterans Rick Dwyer, Intel; Steve Fisher, PEI-Genesis; Ed Smith, Avnet; and Brad Whitworth, Cisco will share their first-hand experiences. Learn from these discussions on harnessing the power of the internet and its implications for electronics; developing social media applications for the industry; growing business while bucking the trend to consolidate; and becoming a driving force to meet the challenges of today’s business.

A variety of business experts will explore topics such as the success of manufacturing on-shoring; economic trends; market changes; venture capital emphasis; sales excellence; and global branding.
