Apex Snake Tray is a versatile, fully integrated steel wire basket system that electrical contractors can quickly and easily hand bend and shape to accommodate on-the-spot directional changes, creating accurate cable turns within seconds rather than relying on traditional wire mesh cable trays, which can take up to 20 minutes to cut and form using tools.
Available in pre and hot dipped galvanised, stainless and powder coated steel, Snake Tray incorporates built-in mounting rings for direct fixing to surfaces and features a range of single or double tray pocket options for wall, suspended ceiling and under floor data and telecommunication cable containment applications.
The system can also be used as a riser to accommodate transitions from under floor to wall cable while wall mounted brackets can be incorporated for off-the-wall and overhead installations.
Different sections can be quickly bolted together in seconds using universal tray or inline connector bolts to provide strong and reliable mechanical and electrical connections.
Four options are available in the Apex Snake Tray range. The 101 series is designed for installation below a raised floor and as a riser along vertical surfaces and comes in seven sizes to accommodate nearly 55,000 mm² of cable run or 860 data cables.
The 201 series is ideal for raised floor and overhead installations which are either wall mounted or suspended from the ceiling and can accommodate 15,500 mm² of cabling. A double pocket option is available where there is a requirement for the separation of voice/data and fibre cable runs in excess of 32250mm² – it can hold up to 500 different cables running under floor or overhead from suspended ceilings.
For long linear installations, the 501 series can be directly attached to the wall using the integrated mounting rings located along the centre spine of the tray, eliminating the requirement for additional brackets or hanging hardware which saves time and money in the process.
A mini cable manager is also available for a variety of security, residential and office cable installations where space is tight. Snake Race comes in three convenient size options and is capable of carrying upwards of 165 voice/data cables.
