Acopian, a leader in the design, manufacturing and distribution of custom, standard and modified-standard power supplies, today announced that their 1U 750W AC-DC Power Supply family is a 2014 ECN Impact Award Finalist. The ECN Impact awards are sponsored by ECN Magazine to recognize the products and services that had the most significant impact on the electronic components industry during 2013. Acopian is a finalist in the category of Power Sources and Conditioning. The innovative power supplies are available in both rack and benchtop configurations, and target a broad range of ATE, OEM and laboratory applications.
“Everyone at Acopian is delighted that the 1U 750W AC-DC Power Supply family is included on the list of 2014 ECN Impact Awards finalist,” stated Alex Karapetian, Acopian’s director of sales and marketing. “For almost 60 years, Acopian has remained committed to deliver state-of -the-art power supplies, which are designed and engineered to the highest quality standards. We are honored to be recognized in this manner, and excited to be among the finalists for this prestigious award.”
Entrants were judged by a distinguished panel of industry experts who chose finalists from 18 different categories in electronic component design and engineering. The complete list of 2014 ECN Impact Award finalist appears in the April edition of ECN. Winners will be announced at a reception on May 6, 2014 at EDS in Las Vegas, NV.
Acopian’s 1U 750W AC-DC power supplies features wide-adjust output voltages from 0V-5V to 0-135V and current capabilities up to 70A. Notably, the single output programmable power supplies provide high power density, low ripple and a user-friendly front panel. Devices moreover accommodate the universal AC input voltage of 95 to 265VAC, 50/60Hz with active power factor correction (PFC) of 0.99 single phase.
Models can be configured with a fixed auxiliary output of between 3.3Vdc and 125Vdc, up to 180W. An intuitive front panel supports reliable linear controls. Voltage and current monitor outputs, and provisions for N+1 redundancy and paralleling are also available. All units are provided with pluggable connectors, active PFC, universal input, constant current, built-in over voltage protection (OVP), and constant current control. Additional standard features include “soft start” and “no load” operation, short circuit and overload protection, thermal protection, internal EMI filtering, RFI shielding, and remote sensing. Available digital interfaces, include RS232, RS485, Ethernet and USB.
