The enclosures offering up to 1000 hours of corrosion resistance in salt spray has had four new sizes added to its range by UK manufacturer, Deltron Enclosures.
The Fortis Enclosure Range is one of the best on the market for resilience; rated IP66 or IP68, they maintain their ingress protection after impacts of up to 7 joules, the copper content of the aluminium is less than 0.3% when most on the market contain between 0.4% and 0.8%, plus, the salt spray test, although certified to 1000 hours, actually went on a further 18 weeks, only stopped due to other projects that needed the engineers’ attention, and the box was still not corroded.
Tom Downing, Product Manager at Deltron Enclosures commented; “Since the launch of the range, the enclosures have been proving popular with engineers who require long-lasting electronics protection for more demanding environments. We have added four larger boxes, swelling the range to offer 14 sizes in total which will benefit those with larger or more complex assemblies. These enclosures offer our best protection yet over the combined effects of water, impact and corrosive environments.”
The boxes are manufactured from GD-AlSi12 and finished with an epoxy-polyester hybrid coating which provides a high quality finish in grey, black or red. The four new dimensions added to the range include; 220 x 120 x 81mm, 220 x 120 x 91mm, 260 x 160 x 91 and 400 x 230 x 181mm but we also offer ten other established sizes with the smallest being 45 x 50 x 30mm.
