IEW Turns 40

IEW is incredibly proud to announce that we have reached a huge milestone on the 29th June 2020 the company will celebrate 40 years in business. Firstly we would like to take this opportunity to thanks each and everyone who has been part of the journey.

IEW began from a dream of founder and previous owner Les Wheeler who started assembling in a garage in Highworth back in 1980.  The Company has grown significantly since then to become a highly experienced and established subcontract electronic manufacturer building bespoke complex Electrical panels, Cables, Plc controllers and PCB’s to customers specification. Employing over 50 people in a large modern unit based on Kembrey Park, Swindon.

In February of this year, the long standing Managing Director Duncan Game took ownership of the business heralding an exciting new phase of IEW.  The plan is to continue to offer excellence in service, quality and on time deliveries but also, going forward, developing and enhancing the services we offer with a solution orientated focus at the centre of everything we do.  Duncan  says “It is a good opportunity for us to regroup and get back to the basics of delighting the customer and helping them to produce their technically advance machines so that they can focus on developing the technology of tomorrow”

There is definitely excitement about the future, we live in unprecedented times at the moment, but the demand for our services is still there and growing so we are ready to work hard and develop our capabilities to match in with the ever developing needs of our Customers.

The future is looking exciting for us, we are developing a new 5 year strategy, rolling out an employee engagement programme, new software and investing in new plant and machinery. We would like to convey our heartfelt thanks and acknowledgement to our most important asset, our staff for making the first 40 years such a success. Bring on the next 40 years!
