Dartford based Texcel Technology plc have donated £2000 to the Re-instate charity. Re-Instate have worked at the heart of the local community since the early1960’s and focuses on two main areas. Firstly, it manages a comprehensive Employment service supporting local people experiencing Mental Ill-Health. The service offers job retention and employer mediation, job preparation and searching, volunteering opportunities and bespoke Training, tailored to the individual’s needs. In recent years, their offer has been enhanced by the development of an Early Intervention Project, offering support before an individual reaches crisis point. They also provide Training and advice to local organisations looking to understand the best ways of supporting staff struggling with their Mental Health at work.
Secondly, Living Well is the charity’s project to support people with Learning Disabilities and Autistic Adults, through a range of groups designed to develop life skills. These include kitchen confidence, arts and crafts, drama, a walking group, men’s and women’s groups as well as Spectrum, a discussion group for Autistic young adults.
Peter Shawyer, Commercial Director at Texcel said “Each year, at around this time, we donate to a local charity. We wanted to donate to Re-instate because they, they address mental health issues around the workplace which is a pertinent issue in the current climate”
