Supercapacitors suit automotive applications

Rutronik has expanded its range of automotive Supercapacitors with Kemet’s new automotive grade types FMD0H334ZF, FU0H105ZF and FMU0H334ZF. The company states optimized design and materials enable a long service life up to 1,000 hours at 85°C (FMD, FU) and 105°C (FMU).

The components also meet the special requirements of the THB test (85°C/85% rH/1,000h) for the automotive industry. Thanks to their characteristics, the components suit memory backup and RTC support. They fulfill the requirements of AEC-Q200 and are produced in a TS16949 certified factory.

The components ensure uninterrupted functionality if the main battery is replaced, there is a power failure or system error. Rutronik states a further contribution to reliable performance is made by the robust design, which makes the components particularly resistant to shocks and vibrations.

Dimensions are: 15 by 14 by 9mm, 21.5 (dia) by 15mm (h) and 15 by 14 by 9mm respectively.
