Jaltek’s business manager, Steve Blythe, explains how investments in equipment, capabilities and people are supporting growing activity across the business.
In 2023, UK based electronics design and manufacturing company Jaltek, saw its highest growth in 25 years, setting the scene for further growth in 2024.
Previous trends were to off-shore manufacturing. However, challenging events over recent years, across industries, has meant more businesses are considering on-shoring or near- shoring their supply chain. It is often easier
to communicate, collaborate and develop relationships with a UK manufacturer. This fosters a more streamlined, bespoke service overall, while keeping supply chains resilient.
Jaltek’s MD, Steve Pittom, said: “We offer full transparency throughout design and production and encourage customers to be as involved in the process as they wish to be, including visiting our premises to view progress in real-time.”
To compete with international markets and provide customers with efficient and cost-effective solutions, Jaltek continually upgrades its capabilities with recent investments including production, test and inspection equipment. As part of its growth strategy, Jaltek also increased its manufacturing space by 50 per cent.
Jaltek has recently partnered with SG Automotive, a Slovenian electronic manufacturing service provider known for manufacturing printed circuit board assemblies. This partnership provides Jaltek’s customers a solution with IATF 16949 certification.
Business manager, Steve Blythe, said: “Inhouse training and support from education/training providers, including Sharing in Growth, ensures we work to the industry’s highest standards and deliver world class competitiveness and productivity for our customers.”
