LASER COMPONENTS offers partially reflective optics; output couplers and beam splitters for CO2 lasers, designed to reflect a defined percentage of the incident light and transmit the remaining part. The reverse side is generally AR coated for 10.6um.
These specialist optics are commonly used in many CO2 laser applications such as imaging, material processing and medical, as output couplers or beam attenuators. Partial reflectors for CO2 lasers are offered on flat or curved ZnSe substrates, with many sizes available as standard on a short lead time. As with all of our optics, custom parts may be produced for specific applications, even in low volumes.
Output couplers and beam splitters have a special coating to reflect a defined percentage of the incident light and transmit the remaining part. The reverse side is generally AR coated at 10.6 µm.

- Polarization independent beam splitters are available.
Beam combiners are used at an angle of 45° to add pilot beams to the beam path. They offer a maximum reflection for typical wavelengths in the visible range and simultaneously a maximum transmission at 10.6 µm.
