The combination of proprietary, environmentally friendly materials and processes with the design of an electric double-layer capacitor makes Eaton’s XLR-LV supercapacitors extremely reliable. The modules, with a capacity of 500 F, are maintenance-free at operating temperatures of -40 to 65°C and have a lifespan of up to 20 years.
They are characterized by an extremely low ESR of 1.7 mOhm, particularly high surge strength and minimal standby current. They are UL810a certified, RoHS compliant and achieve the highest IP65 protection rating. This makes them ideal for use in advanced applications such as emergency power supply, pulse power supply and hybrid energy systems.
The energy storage devices are installed in aluminum housings for better mechanical integrity and cooling and have a laser-welded internal structure that ensures their high reliability. To achieve 18 V/500 F in the same housing size as comparable products, the XLR-LV supercapacitors are now available with 3 V cell technology.
