E-mech partner, CamdenBoss, offers buyers even more choice with the launch of two new enclosure series, each designed to offer aesthetically pleasing protection
Purchasers looking for wall mount cabinets should check out the new CamRack-QX range of cabinets, available in five models, each with a selection of five standard corner colours. Red, blue, orange, white and black corners are offered as standard, with a further five colours available on request in the form of yellow, green, purple, lilac and grey.
The five models comprise: a 6U version measuring 421mm deep by 384mm high, 9U measuring 421 by 517mm, 12U measuring 521 by 651mm, 15U measuring 521 by 784mm and 18U measuring 621 by 917mm. All units are standard 580mm width.
Interestingly, the new CamRack-QX series cabinets are supplied flat-packed with a carrying handle for easy access to any installation site. This is said to reduce logistics costs and offers greater protection during transit. According to CamdenBoss, the fast and efficient quarter-turn lock fixings ensure users can assemble the cabinets without tools and have them ready for use within three minutes.
Additional features include a quick-release door with tempered, smoky safety glass, easily removable side panels with a pair of quarter-turn locks and easily drilled plastic blanking covers for cable entry, ensuring all cables are kept tidy and secure.
With two 19in mounting profiles of variable depth in 20mm increments and a template included for wall mounting, the new CamRack-QX series cabinets feature a maximum recommended load capacity of 45kg. They feature an epoxy paint finish in RAL 7016 grey.
Also coming soon is the CamRack-Soho which provides a wall mounted 19in cabinet for small spaces in the office or home environment.
Portable protection
In other news from CamdenBoss, the company introduces its new 66 series hand-held enclosures, designed for use in battery-powered portable electronics applications. Also featuring an innovative design for quick and easy assembly, the new 66 series Grip Cases are manufactured in the UK and promise a more cost effective solution than previous products.
The 66 series Grip Cases are moulded in black or light grey high impact ABS, UL94-V0 and feature screwless assembly via four soft-grip corners in TPE coated polypropylene. Soft grip corners are available in seven colours as standard to match corporate styles and logos, comprising: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, grey and black. Custom colours are available to special order.
Features of the new case include a standardised battery compartment across the range, including the smaller sizes and an enhanced EPDM rubber gasket to ensure easy fitting for IP65 leak-proof protection. Without the gasket, protection is rated at IP62. Other features are listed as optional retaining screws for additional security, recesses in the lid and base for membrane keypads or overlays and PCB pillars in the lid and base.
Six sizes are available, measuring 145 by 95 by 25mm, 145 by 95 by 35mm, 185 by 110 by 25mm, 185 by 110 by 35mm, 200 by 120 by 25mm and 200 by 120 by 35mm. Each size can be supplied with or without a battery compartment for PP3 or AA styles. A retaining screw for the battery door is provided as standard, where appropriate.
Both the 66 series Grip Cases and the CamRack – QX are available immediately via the company’s distributors. According to CamdenBoss, these are the first two products to be launched as part of a complete new range of enclosures, including wall and floor mounting 19in cabinets, which will be readily available throughout the company’s authorised distribution network.
