Since the Compact Flash Association released the specification of CFast 2.0, Apacer has invested actively in R&D and taken the lead to roll out the first CFast 2.0 memory card – CFast 2, around the globe with SATA 3.0 (6Gb/s) high-speed transmission interface.
Featuring a 2-Channel bidirectional structure, Apacer’s CFast 2 brings its performance to a higher level by adopting Toggle DDR 2.0 NAND Flash. With a sequential speed up to 310/240 MB/sec, it doubles the speed of its predecessor. To address the needs of reliable industrial and cost-effective enterprise applications, Apacer provides customers with choices between highly-durable SLC chip solution and highly cost-effective MLC chip solutions. Both solutions are resistant to temperature change, vibration and shock in actual environment.
These two solutions have the capacity range of 4GB~32GB and 16GB~128GB respectively, with a dimension of 42.8mm x 36.4mm x 3.6mm and an adoption of (7+17) pin connector. Apacer’s CFast 2 memory card features 40-bit ECC (Error Correcting Code), supports Wear Leveling Technology and S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) that can detect the health status of the memory card and in turn significantly boost the reliability of the product. DEVSLP (Device Sleep) is also supported, which enables the card to switch into a lower power state than ever.
With its small form factor nature, Apacer CFast 2.0 is definitely the ideal solution to replace conventional PATA-based CompactFlash cards for applications in industrial computing systems, mobile computers and video processing instruments.
