Harness assembly right first time

Advance Rework Technology’s MD, Debbie Wade

Join Advanced Rework Technology to discuss, in particular, the new E revision of IPC/WHMA-A-620, Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies

The 620 standard prescribes practices and requirements for the manufacture of cable, wire, and harness assemblies, describing materials, methods, tests and acceptability criteria for producing crimped, mechanically secured and soldered connections.

Revision E has significant changes including new figures and updates to several sections.  Of significance was alignment of the soldering requirements with J-STD-001, Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies.
