Binder’s 696-series Harsh-Environment Connector (HEC) suits outdoor use in extreme conditions subject to weather, dust, humidity, contact with liquids, extreme temperatures or vibrations. The power connector is engineered for low and high voltage applications, with the compact design supporting drive units in confined spaces.
The bayonet quick-locking mechanism (closed or opened by pushing and turning) saves installation time. In hybrid designs, efficient power and signal coupling is possible with one single mating.
Target applications include chemical plant, non-contact food processing, conveyor systems, agricultural machinery, construction equipment and mining systems. To withstand mechanical, chemical and climatic impacts, 696 series components—cable connectors and square panel mount parts—are available with protective fittings. The interface meets IP68 and IP69K when mated. Thanks to integrated sealing, all wires in the protective fitting are protected to IP67.
