Buying into harness expertise

Cambridge Electronic Industries introduces purchasing professionals to its cable assembly services and reveals its new M series, ideal for sensors and actuators.

Cambridge Electronic Industries has offered cable assembly services for 40-years.

Known predominantly as a connector manufacturer, specialising in 75-ohm coaxial connectors for broadcast and machine vision, the company has recently introduced a range of M series connectors.

Cable assemblies are supplied worldwide, with the company supporting prototype or small volume quantities from its UK headquarters, with large volumes manufactured at its facility in Taiwan. With many cable assemblies being bespoke, the company accepts anything from an idea to production drawing and uses its expertise to offer advice and solutions.

All cable assemblies feature brands including Belden, Molex and JST, which have proven reliability and performance. For older designs, where some parts may be obsolete, the technical team can offer advice on equivalent parts or design and manufacture a connector to suit.

New M series cables are offered as a standard sensor/ actuator product with wire harness or over-moulded cable styles available to a fixed length with a stub end. M Series cables are available in all sizes M5, M8, M12, M16 and M20 as part of the standard range. The flexible approach to cable manufacturing means the company can use M series connectors in single cables or any application up to large looms and can be designed for different cable lengths and mixed termination styles to the other end of the cable.
