Megatron is now offering force transducers with an integrated analogue amplifier, letting users achieve more precise measurement results and save on costly external signal processing.
The company’s KT705 and KT805 force transducers have been fitted with new electronics. By integrating these analogue electronics, the force transducers now also provide a negative output voltage or indicate when the force transducers are actuated against the intended direction of force.
The integrated amplifier also eliminates the need for external electronics. Despite the additional electronics, the sensors remain compact (KT705: 68 by 30 by 31mm) and require less space and cabling than sensors with a separate amplifier. The small diameter of the flexible cable (3.4mm dia) helps.
KT705 and KT805 series force transducers are used to measure prestressing forces during cable assembly crimping processes and to record press-in and joining forces during assembly processes in industrial production. They are also used in medical technology and fitness equipment.
